People tend to give good remarks about the natural appeal of Sedona’s Red Rock State Park as their preferred location in all of Sedona. The park is popular with individuals of all ages.  Sedona’s Red Rock State Park has hiking routes for different types of hikers. You will find hiking trails that range from difficult to easy. Length of the hiking trails can differ. If you have kids you might want to remember how long of a hike you intend to take. Red Rock State Park also provides programs for kids from ages 4-12, which include their “Junior Ranger” and “Junior Buddy” programs. Check into that program if you plan on bringing your kids. There are also group and private group tours. Red Rock State Park’s facilities include a visitors center, classroom, theater, gift shop, picnic tables, 10 developed trails, restrooms, and group area with Ramada and facilities. The restrooms are handicapped accessible. 

Red Rock State Park is known for it’s scenic appearance being surrounded by towering red rock developments and native plant life. Visitors advise that you hike to see Cathedral Rock which located in the park. Individuals also advise to stop at Oak Creek which runs through the park. Oak Creek is a good place for your family if you are looking to sit and eat lunch. You can also take a dip in Oak Creek itself! Sedona’s Red Rock State Park Time & Pricing Information

Red Rock State Park has everyday activities year-round and is open everyday from 8am to 5pm. with the last entry at 4:30 p.m. (the visitors center opens at 9 a.m.). Entryway costs are as follows: $5 for grownups (ages 14 and older), $3 for youths (ages 7 to 13) and totally free for kids 6 and under!

If you go to hike at Red Rock State Park, you need to plan ahead.  Also remember not to hike in the extreme heat during the summer and always bring plenty of water.
